Through colonization, and forced gender roles, our Two-Spirit family were forced into conformity under threat of violence and shame. Our people are fighting to decolonize this way of thinking and are beginning to take back and honour ALL of our members.
Please know, a Two-Spirit person may be gay, but a gay person should not be assumed to be Two-Spirited. Aligned with the gay community, Two-spirit people hold many parallels.
It is important for us to share space, and have representation in our products.
